Friends of the IISH

The IISH is supported by a large group of friends. People with a passion for history, archives, former colleagues and scholars who have a connection with our institute.

We greatly appreciate the enthusiasm, commitment and involvement of our Friends. The donations we receive from them are used to purchase or conserve special collections and to support research. Over the years, the Friends have become an indispensable network.

Friends meeting

Twice a year we organise a Friends Meeting. Here, Friends can learn about new acquisitions and attend a lecture or guided tour. We conclude the event with drinks.

Twice a year, Friends receive the magazine On the Waterfront, with articles on our new acquisitions, events and research projects.
