Journal of Health Systems and Policies

Journal of Health Systems and Policies (JHESP) is an international, peer-reviewed academic journal that aims to publish high-quality scholarly work in the fields of health services, medical sciences, health sciences, health informatics, health management, and public health, with a particular focus on health systems and policies.

The Journal is published twice a year, in June and December. Manuscript submissions are accepted throughout the year. Accepted articles are published online and in the Journal’s regular issues. JHESP does not charge authors any fees for manuscript submission, evaluation, processing, publication, or any other stage of the publication process.

The Journal accepts Original Research Articles, Review Articles, Case Reports, Editorials, Commentaries, and Policy Briefs for publication. Original Research Articles are based on original data or analyses, while Review Articles provide systematic or conceptual evaluations of the literature on a particular topic. Case Reports address clinically noteworthy cases, whereas Editorials, Commentaries, and Policy Briefs provide concise assessments of current debates, policy developments, and issues relevant to the field.

Manuscripts that have been previously published or are simultaneously under consideration by another journal may not be submitted to JHESP.

The publication language of JHESP is English. Authors are responsible for the views, evaluations, and conclusions expressed in works published in the Journal. Manuscripts must be prepared using the current JHESP Template.docx.
