About the editor

Dr. Suresh Chandvankar (1952-2024) worked with Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai, from 1976 through 2012. He was passionate about old gramophone records. He was the Honorary Secretary of the Society of Indian Record Collectors, and Editor of The Record News. Dr. Chandvankar contributed Marathi and English articles on the 78 rpm era to various periodicals, newspapers, and websites. He also conducted listening sessions and delivered lectures at various cities and towns in India and abroad.
